'I gave them everything': Britney Spears reacts to Kevin Federline's claim

In response to Kevin Federline's assertion that their sons have chosen not to see her for months, Britney Spears says,

"I gave them everything,"

adding that her mother instructed her to "GIVE them to their dad."

On Saturday night, Britney Spears expressed her opinions about her ex-husband Kevin Federline's exclusive interview on Instagram.

The 40-year-old pop artist expressed her regret using the app's Stories feature, writing:

"It saddens me to hear that my ex-husband has opted to disclose the connection between me and my children."

Regarding Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, she wrote in her article, "I gave them everything."

The sorrowful message from Britney was written in white characters on a background of solid black. As we all know, raising teenage boys is never simple for anyone, she continued. I'm worried because the cause is related to my Instagram. Long before Instagram, it was.

The entertainer from Louisiana was making reference to her ex's remarks about her sharing nude images on social media. She went on, 'Hurtful, in a nutshell... I will say it. My mum advised me to "GIVE them to their dad" Because I can, I'm sharing this!

Have a wonderful day, everyone," Britney concluded the succinct tweet. Speaking her mind: Later on Saturday night, the hitmaker had more to say in a post that appeared to defend her bikini images while pointing out the long-term consequences of her conservatorship.

Later on Saturday night, the singer-songwriter had more to say. She wrote, "In addition to what I shared on my story... As their step mom says "whatever is going outside this home has nothing to do with his home"... in a hurried follow-up post on her main page. I've been barred from the White Gates for 15 years, and I'd like to share the entrance to the outside as a symbol of that. The conservatorship ended only 8 months ago, though.

She continued, "It's extremely enlightening [light bulb emoji] to get money from the outside world for the first time. Are we equal now? As in equal opportunity? While acknowledging that the effects of her conservatorship were still being felt, she seemed to be defending some of her nude Instagram posts.

"Reminder that not only do I suffer from the trauma and insults that come with fame and this business, but so do my children!!! I tried my best, but I'm only human. I sincerely want to contribute my TWO CENTS!!!! The Federline's should defiantly see the BIG BOOTY VIDEO, emoji (peach)! When their kids were very young, other artists created considerably poorer work!!!!'

Under her conservatorship, Britney continued, she was "managed and supervised for over 15 years." I required authorization only to take Tylenol! I should start doing WAY more than laying on the beach topless like a baby! I don't find it surprising that they will do interviews as well, just as my family did," she concluded.

She ended, though it was unclear who she was addressing, "I'm not surprised at all with their behaviour and their approach to what I've had to deal with!!! Sam Asghari, Britney's husband, had earlier on Saturday reacted angrily to Kevin's assertions regarding his sons' relationship with their mother. In an effort to convey his thoughts on the remarks made by his wife's ex-husband, the 28-year-old actor sent a lengthy message to his Instagram Story.

This past June, Sam and the hitmaker were united in marriage. To be clear, Asghari said in the first line of his message, "My wife has never uploaded a nude selfie other than of her butt, which is very modest these days. All other posts contained implied nastiness, which is evident in any advertisement for lotion or soap.

He added, "It is inappropriate to make that comment public and there is no truth to his claims about the youngsters pulling away. The boys are quite intelligent and will soon be old enough to make their own decisions. In the future, they might discover that having a father who hasn't worked much in more than 15 years as a role model was the "difficult" part.

The social media star continued by saying that he disagreed with Federline's remarks but had no ill will against his wife's ex-husband. Kevin's gravy train will soon come to a stop, which likely explains why these harsh words were made at this time. I don't know him personally, and other than the fact that he chose to denigrate my wife, I have nothing against him. His attachment to Jaimie suggests his support at the moment of its formation, and his approval of the brutal 13-year CShip reveals his nature.

"Things that are today regarded Normal concerns and behaviour readily dealt with with treatment or other ways were amplified to justify a 13 year prison sentence," Asghari wrote in his conclusion. Anyone who supports it is guilty of taking advantage of it in some way. I won't say anything more about it than to state that I'm employed.

After Britney had finished speaking later that night, Sam made a follow-up post in which he appeared to make reference to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars. He said, perhaps referring to Kevin, "I wish him the best and hope he has a more positive view in the future for the benefit of all involved."

But for now, he said, "Keep my wife's name out of your mouth." The last remark appeared to be a polished allusion to what Smith yelled at Rock in the audience moments before he stormed on stage and slapped him.

Britney Spears has spent the most of her life in the public eye since she first came to prominence as a teenage pop singer. Marriages, motherhood, mental health problems, family dissolutions, and acrimonious legal conflicts have all been depicted under the harsh light of the camera. Others have stood with her in the spotlight as well, including Kevin Federline, a former backing dancer.

Following a brief romance that began in 2004, Kevin was Britney's husband and the father of her two children for a period of two years. Since then, he has made a concerted effort to keep their sons out of the spotlight while his ex-life wife's has continued to dominate news stories through family disputes and critical comments on social media.

He finally broke his nearly ten-year quiet in a lengthy, dramatic TV interview, when he spoke candidly about the reality of life as the former "Mr. Spears," as well as his continued struggle to keep the chaos surrounding his ex-wife as far away from his sons as possible.

While his ex-wife, who wed Asghari in June, has purchased a £10 million mansion close to the Federline family home in Los Angeles, Kevin and his family reveal in a series of exclusive interviews, parts of which will be aired on ITV news this week, that Preston and Jayden have not seen their mother for many months — at their own behest.
